Relational integration, the ability to bind separate representations into structured wholes, is among the strongest known predictors of fluid intelligence, explaining variance beyond standard working memory tasks (Chuderski, 2014; Jastrzebski et al., 2020). This trainer follows the SMART paradigm (Roche & Cassidy), which drills relational frames such as same/opposite and more/less at increasing transitive complexity, using nonsense syllables so that answers cannot lean on world knowledge. Early studies reported large IQ gains from this kind of training, but a meta-analysis found only tentative support (May et al., 2022), and recent preregistered randomized trials found that training improves the trained relational skills without clear transfer to IQ. In short, the skill itself is real and closely tied to fluid intelligence, while claims of raising IQ are not well supported. At worst this game does nothing, but it is still somewhat fun and may keep your mind sharp.

Conventions

Distinct items always take distinct values, so NOT less than means greater than. Same as means the very same item. Opposite to and different from carry no information about order or position. If the premises do not settle the question, the correct answer is CAN'T TELL. Containment is one-way and is never negated. A conditional question reads as: supposing the first item, what follows about the second. An analogy question asks whether the second pair stands in the same relation as the first.
